On October 20th, Jim Porter presented on "Game Preparation: Heuristics for
Planning and Conducting Research Studies of MMOGs" at the 8th annual
conference of the Association for Internet Researchers (AoIR) in Vancouver,
Canada. The presentation explored the ways in which rhetorical heuristics,
particularly visual heuristics, can be helpful in ethical decision-making
for online research projects.
